Marcellus Shale: Unearthing Environmental Health Issues for Nurses

October 7, 2011 | Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, PA

Nurses are increasingly taking leadership in the area of environmental health to address health needs and policy issues. An interdisciplinary approach is required to adequately address the health of individuals and communities related to the environment. Environmental health perspectives are not only from traditional health fields but also from engineering, environmental consultants, environmental advocates and community members. This conference is an opportunity to examine the health issues of Marcellus Shale drilling from an interdisciplinary perspective.
